Born and raised in the St. John’s area, Allison is a graduate of Memorial University’s Business School and holds an accounting designation with CPA-NL.
Allison’s most recent professional experience has been with public accounting firms. She has gained immense knowledge and developed her accounting and advisory skills dealing with small and medium sized enterprises, much like the companies supported by techNL. Prior to working in professional services, Allison worked as the accountant for two local tech companies- Plato Consulting and Camouflage Software. Each of the aforementioned entities provided her with insight to the challenges and opportunities presented to companies in the tech sector. Allison has always enjoyed dealing with individuals in the tech sector – finding everyone to be personable, open to sharing best practices and driven to support the industry as a whole.
I share my time outside of work with my wonderful and energetic family! I have a son-Michael (7) and daughter- Diana (4) who keep my husband and I on our toes with activities such as hikes, skating and sliding. We also enjoy movie nights that turn our family room into one giant sleepover theatre, which usually leads to endless questions on how things are made that could stump Elon Musk.
I am delighted to be joining the team at techNL and look forward to direct involvement with the strong tech industry we have here in Newfoundland and Labrador.
